San Diego leaders, researchers, and community partners gathered for the region’s inaugural Research Summit to spotlight how data and research are shaping solutions to critical challenges in housing, workforce development, jobs, and community well-being.

Hosted by the San Diego & Imperial Center of Excellence and the Policy & Innovation Center, the event featured TED-style talks from regional experts and unveiled the new San Diego & Imperial Research Hub—a centralized platform designed to connect data, research, and decision-makers. The Summit emphasized cross-sector collaboration, highlighting how research-driven insights can inform policy, strengthen education-to-career pathways, address behavioral health workforce gaps, and support more equitable outcomes across San Diego County.
