Regional Investment Framework for California Jobs First Priority Sectors

The South Central Coast Center of Excellence (SCC COE) analyzed traditional labor market research, conducted employer surveys, and interviewed industry experts to provide insights into opportunities within five emerging sectors. The sector analysis reports, slide decks, and infographics for the Aerospace & Defense, Clean Economy, High-Tech, Life Sciences, and Working Lands & Water sectors provide a detailed analysis of critical investment opportunities due to these sectors’ alignment with regional and statewide goals related to resilience, sustainability, long-term economic growth, job quality, and workforce mobility.

South Central Coast District Profile Reports and Dashboards

The South Central Coast Center of Excellence (SCC COE) District Profiles provide a demographic and labor market overview for each of the six community college districts in the SCC Region. Each District Profile is accompanied by an interactive dashboard designed to complement the data presented in the report and allow users to further explore data for each district’s service area.

In Fall 2025, the SCC COE created a framework to identify High-Quality job opportunities in the South Central Coast Region. The related reports, profiles, data exploration addendums, and dashboard are included below.
