The South Central Coast Center of Excellence (SCC COE) for Labor Market Research expanded on the region’s labor market landscape by analyzing data for each of its counties. The SCC COE’s High-Quality Occupation County Profiles provide summary data for High-Quality occupations across each CCCCO sector, while the Data Exploration Addendums include detailed data for each High-Quality occupation.

In collaboration with the Los Angeles, North Far North (NFN), and San Diego-Imperial (SDI) Centers of Excellence (COE), the South Central Coast (SCC) COE delivered the keynote presentation to kick off the CTE Conference in Rancho Mirage. With nearly 700 K12 administrators, instructors, counselors, and more in attendance, SCC COE Director Jacob Poore co-presented with SDI COE Director Dr. Tina Ngo Bartel.

In response to growing interest in expanding apprenticeship opportunities, the South Central Coast Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research (SCC COE) conducted an in-depth review of apprenticeship data sources and program activity across the SCC Region and its four counties. The SCC COE will present these findings at a regional webinar on Friday, September 12 at 11 AM via Zoom.

This report identifies 37 Top Jobs in the SCC Region and examines the demographic disparities among workers in these jobs, as well as students in vocational programs designed to prepare them for these roles.
