New Release: Placer County Report On Workforce Conditions And Opportunities
In February, the North (Greater Sacramento) Center of Excellence (COE) completed research for an economic profile that was conducted to better understand Placer County’s labor market trends and support workforce development efforts.
Based on the study’s data findings, the report concludes that Placer County is an economic powerhouse, outperforming the region and the state over the 10-year period studied. However, the county has experienced some economic challenges and was not immune to the labor market shock resulting from the pandemic. The report makes recommendations on next steps for workforce and economic development partners.
Project partners include Golden Sierra Workforce Board, Placer County’s Office of Economic Development, and Sierra College.
