The South Central Coast Center of Excellence is pleased to introduce the newest member of our team, Shawn Kern. 

Shawn began his research career while attending College of the Canyons—a school he now serves within our region. He then completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and later received a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Notre Dame. 

He is excited for the opportunity to support the South Central Coast, and we are equally excited to have him. Welcome aboard, Shawn!
