LA COE to Present on Advancing Equity in Career and Technical Education (CTE) at CCCAOE Spring 2026
On April 23, the Los Angeles Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research (LA COE) will present a breakout session at the California Community College Association for Occupational Education (CCCAOE) Spring 2026 Conference in Sacramento—a statewide convening of community college administrators, educators, and industry partners focused on strengthening career education through collaboration.
The session, “Equity in Action: Leveraging Labor Market Data to Strengthen CTE Outcomes,” will highlight key findings and recommendations from LA COE’s Equity Report Series, and demonstrate how community colleges can use regional labor market and institutional data to identify equity gaps and strengthen pathways into high-demand, high-wage careers.
Through an interactive discussion, participants will explore practical strategies for applying data to program planning, cross-functional collaboration, and improving equitable student outcomes.
LA COE Presenters: Luke Meyer (Director), Christopher Chen (Associate Director), Benjamin Falls (Research Associate), and Vicki Cabrera (Research Associate)
