Where is the California labor market headed over the next decade?

That was the topic on hand at the 2023 Career Technical Education Fall Conference in Rancho Mirage where Los Angeles Center of Excellence Director Luke Meyer recently served as a keynote speaker.

Meyer spoke on the topic of “California’s Labor Market in Ten Years: Which Jobs Will Be In-Demand in 2033?”

Other topics covered at the conference included how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping CTE, translating effective CTE training to the classroom, and developing CTE communities of practice.

The event was held November 15-17 and was hosted by the California Association of Leaders for Career Preparation and the Association of Career and College Readiness Organizations.
