Get to Know the Bay COE’s New Analyst, Yumi Huang

We are excited to announce that Yumi Huang has joined the Centers of Excellence (COE) team for the Bay Region as a Research Analyst. In her new role, Yumi will play a crucial part in providing in-depth regional labor market research and workforce data to support program development at the 28 colleges across the Bay Area.

With 12 years of experience in research and data analysis, Yumi has made substantial contributions to both higher education and labor market research. Previously, she served as an Institutional Research Officer at Claremont Graduate University, where she provided accurate, timely, and reliable information to various stakeholders about the university’s academic and operational activities.

Yumi holds a Ph.D. in Applied Cognitive Psychology from Claremont Graduate University. Her doctoral research explored age differences in emotional and cognitive decision-making processes, offering significant insights into customer research and the design of tailored products and services. This background positions her uniquely to contribute to our understanding of the labor market and the needs of our diverse student populations.
