The Far North Center of Excellence (COE) released several reports in 2025, providing insights into workforce trends, career opportunities, and community college program alignment in the subregion.

  • The Top Occupations in the Far North report showcases priority jobs in the subregion that fall into three educational attainment categories: below middle skill, middle skill, and bachelor’s degree.
  • The Priority Jobs and Programs in the Far North reports spotlight high-opportunity, middle-skill jobs and their aligned community college programs in the subregion.
  • Seven targeted District Profiles highlight workforce dynamics, priority “focus” occupations, and aligned CTE programs in district service areas in the Far North subregion.
  • In case you missed it: The Automation Risk in the Labor Market: A Workforce Analysis of the Far North Subregion report released at the end of 2024 identifies occupations at minimal or high risk of being impacted by automation—encompassing robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning—and advises community colleges on how to expand pathways to careers that are resilient and adaptive to its impact.

The Far North COE remains dedicated to reporting on rising middle-skill jobs and educational program development opportunities for community colleges in the new year.
