Explore the Data: District Profiles & Dashboards Released

To support strategic planning, grant management, and program development, the San Diego & Imperial Center of Excellence (COE) developed six community college district profiles that provide a comprehensive look at the San Diego-Imperial Region.

Each district profile includes:

  • Demographics & household characteristics
  • Leading industries & top occupations
  • Community college enrollments
  • Programs with most completions (degrees & certificates)
  • Student success outcomes

They are designed for our colleges and partners to make informed decisions about program development. You can explore the district profiles and their interactive dashboards below.

Profiles in Action: Using Data to Guide Community Conversations

The COE used the district profiles to guide a series of Career Education Community Forums across the region. These gatherings brought together employers, educators, nonprofits, and community leaders to do the following:

  • Review labor market and demographic trends from the district profiles
  • Engage in an open dialogue about barriers to student success
  • Explore local partnerships and opportunities
  • Discuss CTE program alignment with employers’ workforce needs

By combining community perspectives and data-driven insights, the feedback from the forums will inform a new Comprehensive Regional Needs Assessment (CRNA). The CRNA will be updated this fall and help colleges complete the community consultation requirement under Perkins V–the largest federal funding source for Career Technical Education (CTE).

There are just  two forums left. Register today!
