Exploring Apprenticeship Opportunities
To advance the goal of expanding work-based learning, the COE have developed a new collection of reports focused on apprenticeships. Each report highlights high-wage, high-skill occupations in the region and explores how apprenticeships can meet workforce demand while creating more equitable career pathways. These findings are designed to support colleges and regional partners in aligning programs with real-world job opportunities.
The aim of this report is to provide community colleges with an analysis of apprenticeships currently being offered while identifying opportunity areas for the expansion or provision of new apprenticeship programs in Los Angeles County.
This report assesses apprenticeship in Orange County, detailing workforce trends. It examines apprenticeship models, regional data, and makes key recommendations to enhance career pathways and meet labor market demand.
This February 2025 report is an updated analysis for the 2024 report Opportunities for Apprenticeships. It examines the region’s continued challenges in creating and expanding apprenticeships.
This February 2024 analysis examined data to 1) determine what registered apprenticeships exist; 2) examine ways to develop more apprenticeships; and 3) identify occupations to target for program development.
