2025 North (Greater Sacramento) District/College Profiles

The North Far North Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research (NFN COE) has released a series of five district/college profiles for the North (Greater Sacramento) subregion. These profiles provide a detailed analysis of the occupational and program landscape within each district/college, the North (Greater Sacramento) subregion, and the broader North Far North region, offering insights into workforce trends, focus occupations, and educational programs. 
 
This series builds on the foundational research established through the North (Greater Sacramento) COE’s labor market studies and is designed to support informed decision-making by community colleges, workforce development boards, and regional stakeholders. Each district/college profile highlights local labor market needs, employment projections, and opportunities to align education and training programs with regional demand.

This 2025 district profile highlights 146 middle-skill “focus occupations” in the Lake Tahoe CCD service area. These occupations either meet or exceed the median sector job count, surpass the El Dorado County living wage of $27.15/hour, or both.
