COE Director Reappointed to Federal Data Users Advisory Committee
Michael Goss, director of the Inland Empire/Desert Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research, has been reappointed to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Data Users Advisory Committee (BLS DUAC) for a three-year term.
The Secretary of Labor selects up to 20 technical experts from diverse backgrounds who represent a variety of sectors including business, research, and academia to provide advice from the perspective of data users.
Committee members advise on new and existing BLS programs and initiatives, provide feedback on data analysis, and consult on innovations in the presentation of data.
“Being invited to serve again on the DUAC is an absolute honor,” Goss said. “This appointment provides a voice from the California Community Colleges’ perspective to advance data sharing to tell a better, more complete story about the labor market.”
